Barreras y facilitadores en el control de la tuberculosis: una visión interdisciplinaria sobre el cumplimiento terapéutico

La Organización Mundial de la Salud, menciona que la tuberculosis continúa como un problema de salud pública que se agrava si no es tratada a tiempo, se menciona que las intervenciones no deben ser solamente médicas, sino también que se debe incorporar estrategias centradas en el paciente. Ante ello, el cumplimiento terapéutico se ve afectado por las diferentes barreras que se presentan. El objetivo de la investigación fue analizar las principales barreras y facilitadores que influyen en el cumplimiento terapéutico de la tuberculosis. El estudio se realizó mediante una revisión sistemática de la literatura siguiendo las directrices del modelo PRISMA, basada en artículos científicos de los últimos 5 años, en base de datos PubMed, Web of Science, Science Direct, Scopus y Google academico, mediante un cribado de calidad se obtuvo 20 artículos para el análisis abordando temas como barreras, facilitadores, adherencia. Los resultados evidencian que las limitaciones económicas, el estigma social, la falta de acceso oportuno a los servicios de salud y la escasa comunicación empática como principales barreras. Asimismo, se identificaron como facilitadores el apoyo social, y económico, la educación en salud, el apoyo familiar y comunitario, el soporte psicosocial, uso de tecnologías como principales estrategias en monitoreo y adherencia al tratamiento. Se concluye, que el fortalecimiento de las estrategias interdisciplinarias y centradas en la persona son fundamentales para mejorar la adherencia, reducir el abandono del tratamiento y avanzar hacia un control más efectivo y sostenible de la tuberculosis.
