Legal analysis of dangerous crimes in the Ecuadorian legal framework

Abstract

This research paper describes human social behavior regarding violent, dangerous behaviors that are far from the established normative order and legal norms that govern Ecuador. Crimes of dangerousness, within criminal law, correspond to illicit human behaviors that directly affect or harm public order and generate social chaos. These acts of dangerousness are widely studied due to the severity with which they affect a state, therefore, it is a problem that affects most countries globally. Crimes of dangerousness are a branch of study of criminal law that is responsible for evaluating the significant-effective damage perceived by the victim of a harmful action against him/her. These behaviors represent a risk to social welfare and public safety; therefore, the Ecuadorian state must focus all its efforts on studying and reducing the rates of commissions of this category of crimes. The present research aims to contribute to Ecuadorian criminal law with a fresh and updated vision regarding the study of the brain behavior of the active subject of the criminal action, that is, scientific and detailed research into the social, human or pathological causes of individuals who commit serious damage to society in general and the state.
