Abstract

The study analyzed the relationship between administrative management and the performance of employees at the Manta Port Authority (APM) during 2023. Methodologically, it employed a non-experimental design with a descriptive–correlational approach, applying mixed techniques that included Likert-scale surveys administered to institutional employees, as well as an interview conducted with the general manager. These complementary techniques were key to achieving the proposed objectives, through a structured analysis statistically supported by the survey results. The findings revealed that the relationship between administrative management and employee performance was positive, with a high correlation coefficient (r ≈ 0.70; p < 0.001), confirming the existence of a solid link between both variables. In this regard, the study showed that better-structured administrative management practices are consistently associated with higher levels of organizational performance among employees, thereby underscoring the importance of strengthening planning, organization, direction, and control processes within the Manta Port Authority (APM).
