Introduction: Infectious diseases occupy an important place in the current global health panorama, among them Dengue stands out, a viral disease that is transmitted by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, mainly in tropical and subtropical regions. Dengue causes a spectrum of presentations which varies from an asymptomatic process, undifferentiated fever or dengue fever to dengue hemorrhagic fever and, evolves into shock syndrome, frequently presenting systemic manifestations, due to the marked tropism of the virus through the organs of the monocytic-macrophage system, such as the bone marrow, spleen, lymph nodes and, liver. Objectives: Determine the dengue virus and its relationship with liver enzyme alterations in the Jipijapa canton in 2023. Methodology: The research was of a non-experimental design, a type of cross-sectional cohort analytical study in retrospective time with a quantitative approach Results: In the result, out of 100 patients treated in the clinical laboratories. On the other hand, it is reflected that the patients who did have dengue infection most frequently were in the age range of 18 to 27, unlike the group of 28 to 37 years. In addition, a statistically significant association was found between dengue infection and, alterations in liver enzymes (TGO and TGP) with a p-value < 0.01, demonstrating the usefulness of these tests in viral processes that involve pathologies of liver origin. Conclusion: In males, we have a significantly higher risk of the dengue virus compared to women due to certain factors that influence both the home and the environment.
