Abstract

Covid-19 is a viral disease that causes severe respiratory difficulties, primarily affecting the lungs. This condition has generated health consequences, manifesting as significant morbidity and mortality. The objective of the research was to identify the follow-up of post-covid-19 sequelae and biochemical intervention in a vulnerable population over 66 years of age. The methodology proposed was descriptive, analytical, observational, and cross-sectional. The study population and sample consisted of a total of 104 people. The results obtained indicated that the highest concentration of people vulnerable to post-covid-19 was found in the 66-69 age range, which represented approximately 28% of the total, with women being the most susceptible. However, no post-covid-19 sequelae are evident in relation to the biochemical profile. Among other factors requiring medical care, we can describe patients with problems such as musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and liver sequelae, and anxiety attacks. Cardiovascular is the most prevalent, accounting for 27.9%. In conclusion, it is essential to strengthen comprehensive medical follow-up, including emotional support, in this population.
