Implicaciones perinatales por infecciones de TORCH y sus efectos secundarios en la salud materno infantil

Las infecciones TORCH se transmiten verticalmente y son causas considerables de morbilidad, mortalidad congénita y neonatal a nivel mundial. Esta infección incluye toxoplasmosis, rubéola, citomegalovirus, herpes simple, y otros que incluyen hepatitis B y C, VIH, sífilis, Chagas, Zika, varicela y el parvovirus B19. El 30% de las muertes fetales se atribuyen a causas infecciosas. El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar las implicaciones perinatales por infecciones de TORCH y sus efectos secundarios en la salud materno infantil. Se realizó una búsqueda sistemática de información en bases de datos como Pubmed, Scielo, Elsevier, Springer, Redalyc y Google académico. Se analizaron e incluyeron para evaluar la calidad metodológica y la consistencia de los resultados. Se encontró que las infecciones TORCH durante el embarazo están asociadas a complicaciones, incluyendo malformaciones congénitas, parto prematuro, bajo peso al nacer. Además, se observaron impactos en la salud materna, como riesgo elevado de complicaciones obstétricas. En conclusión, esta revisión destaca la importancia de una vigilancia activa y la implementación de estrategias preventivas para reducir las consecuencias adversas de las infecciones TORCH en la salud perinatal. La comprensión de estas implicaciones proporcionará una base crucial para el diseño de nuevas investigaciones e intervenciones efectivas durante el embarazo.
