Abstract

The advancement of technology and the increasing use of computer systems in the field of medicine have raised new ethical challenges. Medical Informatics refers to the application of information and communication systems in the field of health care, with the aim of improving the efficiency and quality of care. In this context, it is necessary to situate and define the object, methods, principles and functions of bioethics. The aim of the research is to analyze and understand the ethical aspects related to medical informatics and how they can be addressed from a bioethical perspective. The main findings of the research highlight the importance of ensuring the privacy and security of medical data, as well as the need for clear ethical policies and regulations in the use of computer systems in health care. In conclusion, bioethics is a fundamental field for addressing the ethical dilemmas that arise in the use of computer systems in medicine. Its object, methods, principles and functions are indispensable to guide the correct application of Medical Informatics and ensure ethics in the use of information technology in health care.
