La gamificación como estrategia para mejorar el aprendizaje del idioma inglés: una revisión bibliográfica

Esta revisión bibliográfica analizó la evidencia científica reciente sobre la gamificación como estrategia para mejorar el aprendizaje del idioma inglés. Se desarrolló una revisión integrativa de carácter descriptivo-analítico de publicaciones arbitradas entre 2021 y 2026, priorizando revisiones, metaanálisis y estudios empíricos centrados en motivación, participación, rendimiento y habilidades lingüísticas. La síntesis mostró que la gamificación tendió a favorecer la motivación, el compromiso y el disfrute, y que se registraron mejoras en vocabulario, lectura, expresión oral y rendimiento general cuando los elementos de juego se articularon con objetivos lingüísticos explícitos, retroalimentación inmediata, desafíos graduados y seguimiento del progreso. Sin embargo, los efectos no fueron uniformes: algunos estudios reportaron beneficios limitados en autoeficacia o sostenibilidad, mientras que la competencia excesiva, los problemas técnicos, la novedad inicial y el diseño superficial aparecieron como riesgos. Se concluye que la gamificación constituye una estrategia pedagógica prometedora, pero su eficacia depende del diseño didáctico, la adecuación al perfil del estudiante, la mediación docente y la continuidad de la intervención.
