Disruptive behavior is one of the disruptive behavior disorders characterized by permanent challenging behavioral problems that violate basic rights of coexistence and norms, rules or laws. The objective of the research was to determine the effectiveness of guidance strategies in the management of disruptive behaviors in high school students. An exhaustive analysis of the existing literature on the topic and the implementation of individualized mentoring programs on mental health, the development of social and emotional skills through social-emotional learning techniques was carried out. The information was collected with the PRISMA protocol where it was identified that several articles from Sciense@Direc and the ERIC database met the inclusion criteria. The results gave us important information about the application of behavior modification techniques and interdisciplinary collaboration between education professionals, including school counselors, concluding that school dropout is interconnected with disruptive behaviors, having a profound impact on the educational system. Disruptive behaviors can be the result of a combination of biological, psychological and environmental factors, and restorative methods focus on repairing the damage caused by the problematic behavior.
