Computer system based on the cloud computing model for information management in university environments

The research project focuses on the development of a computer system using cloud computing technologies, with the aim of optimizing information management in university environments. This approach prioritizes the needs of end users and addresses the uncertainty inherent in problem definition and resolution throughout the software development lifecycle. The research adopts a descriptive methodology to evaluate the current state of applicable technologies and an exploratory methodology to identify and analyze different technical solutions. Among the research methods, the bibliographic method and the analytical method stand out, while the interview was used as a data collection technique, allowing detailed information, perspectives and experiences of the system's beneficiaries to be obtained. Likewise, the IEEE-830-1998 standard was applied to define the structure and content of the software requirements. The technological tools used in the development include PHP, JavaScript and MySQL, while the qualitative data analysis was carried out using the Atlas.ti tool, which made it possible to identify and build the specific characteristics necessary for the software under study. The results show an optimization in document management, achieving an intuitive, flexible and adaptable application to the requirements of the institution, thus contributing to the improvement of its services. This work is part of the institutional research project on factors that determine the acceptance of smart city technologies in students with a high educational level, as well as in the project of connection with society: "Intelligent Urbanism Web Platform for the Strengthening of Technological Services in Municipalities of the South of Manabí, Phase I", both developed by the GISICF - UNESUM research group.
