The development of oral expression and digital tools in Early Childhood Education

The development of oral expression and digital tools in early childhood education is central to student development. Academic literature has addressed oral expression and reading comprehension, along with the digital tools that complement education. The objective is to analyze the results of a diagnostic study conducted to evaluate the use of digital tools and their contribution to the development of oral expression in the early childhood education program at UNESUM, assessing their effectiveness in children's oral communication skills. A descriptive and quantitative approach was used to analyze children's oral expression and propose improvements. The sample consisted of early childhood education students, with a random sample of 150 students. Surveys, interviews, and direct classroom observation were used to collect data on the use of digital tools. The results showed that the majority of students (80%) use digital tools in learning settings. The most commonly used tools include educational apps, interactive videos, and software programs designed for early childhood learning. In conclusion, the use of digital tools in early childhood education at UNESUM has proven effective in improving students' oral expression. Interactive and multimedia resources have provided a dynamic and engaging environment that facilitates the practice and development of communication skills.
