Abstract

This article aimed to reflect on the impact of AI on student learning. It was based on bibliographic research and information gathering, an iterative and critical process of knowledge building that led to the following conclusions: AI has revolutionized the ability to adapt the educational process to each student's individual needs; AI-powered tools, such as virtual tutors and interactive platforms, empower students by giving them control over their own learning process; AI plays a crucial role in democratizing access to quality education and is consolidating as an invaluable support tool; interaction with AI systems and preparation for a technology-driven world are fundamental for the development of essential skills such as critical thinking, complex problem-solving, digital literacy, and adaptability. AI in education is not without risks. Concerns about data privacy, algorithmic biases that can perpetuate inequalities, and the exacerbation of the digital divide demand clear regulatory frameworks, responsible use policies, and continued investment in infrastructure and training to ensure that AI benefits all students fairly and equitably.
