Entrepreneurship is emerging as a key driver of economic progress, its effectiveness stemming from education's capacity to stimulate innovation, thereby generating new business opportunities and productivity improvements. This research seeks to explore the relationships between educational variables to determine how education, for example, fosters new, innovative businesses and, consequently, facilitates access to opportunities for sustainable development. Ten articles were retrieved from the Scopus, Google Scholar, and Web of Science databases. These articles, which explore theories and background information through a systematic review following the PRISMA 2020 protocol, cover the period from 1990 to 2025. The studies repeatedly documented a positive relationship between educational attainment, particularly in STEM fields, and the creation and consolidation of new businesses, as well as integration and access to various patents. However, these results depend on the specific characteristics of certain institutional and industrial structures and the policies in place. In conclusion, it is established that education, in synergy with innovative systems, has become a driving force for promoting inclusion and must be aligned with the needs of the productive sectors.
