Abstract

Technological progress and its integration into the educational environment have significantly transformed the learning of mathematics. In this context, didactic tools have evolved to respond to the needs and challenges faced by students in this discipline. In particular, it is essential to examine the impact of GeoGebra as a complementary resource in the teaching of mathematics. For this purpose, a quantitative study was conducted with students of multivariable calculus, dividing the participants into two groups: an experimental and a control group. The experimental group used GeoGebra to support their learning, while the control group maintained a traditional approach. The results showed that the use of GeoGebra favors a better understanding of the analytical and graphical aspects of mathematical problems, in addition to significantly increasing motivation, engagement and interest in the subject. This, in turn, fosters the development of autonomous learning. GeoGebra is consolidated as a fundamental tool in the learning process of mathematics, contributing significantly to the strengthening of students' analytical and graphical skills.
