The management of basic education career: an approach towards educational excellence

Abstract

The management of career in basic education is crucial for the advancement and constant improvement of the educational system. Unfortunately, deficiencies are observed in this area, which has a negative impact on the quality and excellence of education. This article aims to improve the quality and excellence of basic education, analyzing the importance of proper career management at this level. A systematic bibliographic review methodology with a qualitative approach was used, searching for relevant studies and research in academic databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. Among the main findings, it stands out that the management of careers in basic education is decisive to achieve an education of quality and excellence. This implies an adequate curricular design, strategic planning and monitoring of the training process, as well as the active and committed participation of all the actors involved in education. The importance of setting clear and achievable goals, implementing innovative strategies to improve academic performance, and promoting the comprehensive development of students is also emphasized. Continuous training and professional updating of teachers, vocational guidance, academic tutoring and coordination between teachers and parents are also fundamental aspects. In conclusion, this study seeks to fill a gap by providing recommendations backed by solid scientific evidence to improve management and leadership processes in basic education careers.
