Uso de los miARNs como marcadores moleculares del cáncer: revisión sistemática

Los microARNs (miARNs) son moléculas conformadas por aproximadamente de 18 a 25 nucleótidos, se originan como transcritos primarios, donde una vez maduros, se incorporan al complejo RISC (complejo de silenciamiento inducido por ARN) para regular la expresión génica a nivel postranscripcional. La expresión de muchos miARNs se puede encontrar alterada, dando lugar al surgimiento de cáncer, representando herramientas prometedoras para el diagnóstico, pronóstico y seguimiento del cáncer. Se realizó una revisión sistemática con el objetivo de determinar la utilidad e importancia de los miARNS como marcadores moleculares en cáncer, a partir de una búsqueda de artículos científicos en inglés y español de los últimos años de bases de datos certificados como Scopus, Web of Science y Academia Search Complet, de los cuales se seleccionaron 29 artículos de acuerdo a criterios de inclusión. Se concluyó que el cáncer de pulmón, mama y próstata son los tipos de cáncer más comunes, siendo miR-32-5p, miR-183-5p, miR-141-5p, miR-187-3p, entre otros, los principales miARNs de importancia como biomarcador diagnóstico y terapéutico en diversas tipologías de neoplasias, y que son cuantificados y analizados sobre todo por medio de técnicas como RT-PCR y q-PCR permitiendo el diagnóstico del cáncer de manera temprana.
