The influence of innovative teaching strategies in increasing university students' critical and creative thinking

This study presents a theoretical review of the influence of innovative teaching strategies in enhancing university students' critical and creative thinking. In this regard, the combination of technology and education is being approached as a tool that benefits teaching. The objective of this study is to analyze how innovative teaching strategies can influence the development of students' critical and creative thinking. It seeks to identify pedagogical practices that foster students' analytical, reflective, and creative problem-solving skills. The study is based on a qualitative methodology and an exhaustive bibliographic review of books, articles, and various documents that support the research. The importance of fostering an environment that promotes autonomy, critical reflection, and creativity was analyzed. Among the main findings, it was observed that the strategies that foster the development of critical and creative thinking are new innovative teaching methodologies, which provide educational responses and implement challenges and opportunities in the capacity for analysis, reflection, and problem-solving. In conclusion, innovative teaching strategies have a positive impact on students.
