Inclusion and diversity in the classroom: Innovations to serve students with special needs

Diversity and inclusion are fundamental concepts in today's world and are gaining increasing importance in the educational field and are referred to as creating an environment where all students, regardless of their abilities, cultural backgrounds, languages, and experiences, can learn together in an equitable manner. Fortunately, educational innovations respond to the attention of students with individual needs, as they provide changes and improvements in methods, technologies, and teaching strategies to make education more effective, inclusive, and attractive, involving the use of technology, active teaching methods, personalization of learning, and ongoing teacher training. This essay presents a reflection on inclusion and diversity in the classroom, as well as the various educational innovations aimed at the attention of students with special needs.
