Impact of emotional support on the recovery of post-surgical patients

This study analyzes the impact of emotional support on the recovery of post-surgical patients, exploring how the quality of this support influences the healing process. The main objective was to evaluate the relationship between emotional support and recovery, using surveys, patient interviews and analysis of clinical records. The results showed that a higher level of emotional support is associated with a significant decrease in pain perception, faster recovery and better psychological adaptation. Those patients who had constant emotional monitoring reported less pain and a more efficient recovery, reflected in a notable reduction in the length of hospital stay and the time to return to their usual activities. These findings highlight the importance of incorporating affective support strategies in postoperative care to optimize clinical outcomes and improve the patient experience, suggesting the need for additional research with larger samples and standardized methodologies to validate and expand these results.
