Opportunities, challenges and measures of artificial intelligence in Higher Education

This article aims to analyze the opportunities, challenges, and measures related to the incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education, seeking to understand how these technologies can improve academic and administrative processes, and what ethical and logistical aspects should be considered for responsible implementation. The method used was a quantitative and descriptive approach, collecting data by administering a questionnaire to 96 students from different programs using Google Forms and distributing it via WhatsApp and institutional emails. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, identifying perceptions about the advantages and difficulties of using AI in the university setting. The results reveal that the majority of the students surveyed believe that AI facilitates access to advanced educational resources, enables personalized learning, and increases efficiency in administrative management. However, there are also concerns about ethical aspects, privacy, infrastructure, and resistance to change, highlighting the need for institutional policies that ensure ethical and equitable use, promoting dialogue and training on these issues to maximize the benefits of AI at the university level.
